About Me

Hi, I'm Alex!

I have always found solace in writing my ideas on paper, so I’ve decided to start a blog to explore writing about my favorite thing in the world: food. Thank you for joining me here!

There’s nothing I love more than gathering around the table and sharing a meal with the ones I love. When I think of a place that I’ve traveled to, I first remember the meals that I’ve had and the people I shared them with. When I think of a family member who is across the country or a loved one who passed away, I think of the mozzarella-peanut-butter-potatoes they made (don't knock it till you try it), or the beer and nachos we shared.

If you know me, you know I can eat. A lot. I prioritize balance in my life. With the influences of diet culture everywhere, I take pride in eating a balanced diet without restriction. I prioritize plant-forward food, although I do incorporate meat and dairy into my meals. I try to eat organic, grass-fed and pasture-raised, but let’s face it – I’m not perfect. Like the rest of us, I do my very best!

Although I am not a chef or a nutritionist, I am passionate about food. I hope to inspire curiosity in the kitchen and while dining out.
